Financial Analyst

Role Description The Financial Analyst will support Outdoor & Recreation beverage brands (Contigo, Coleman and Bubba) and contribute to global and domestic go‑to‑market functions. The role is based in Atlanta, Georgia and works cross‑functionally with Brand Management, Customer Strategy & Planning and Sales teams to drive profitable growth. Primary Responsibilities Analyze proposed advertising, promotional spend and other activation investments with pre‑ and post‑activity ROI analytics. Support commercialization and go‑to‑market analysis. Partner with cross‑functional teams to monitor the brand/category marketplace including Newell POS performance, market share and category growth trends. Support the New Product Development process: develop forecasts, prepare financials, calculate project return metrics and analyze changes vs. previous updates. Support preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budgets, working closely with Brand Management, Customer Planning & Strategy and Sales. Optimize gross margin based on pricing, mix management, cost improvement and innovation. Liaise with Operations Finance to summarize impacts of standard costs and manufacturing variances for historical, current and future key material costs. Manage and optimize working capital including inventory. Qualifications And Experience Preferred For This Role Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting or a related field. 0–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in consumer‑packaged goods. Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of project valuation and volume/price/mix analysis. Strong interpersonal skills—both written and verbal communication. Ability to operate with a consumer‑focused mindset and collaborate with cross‑functional partners. Results‑driven behavior with a sense of urgency and the ability to decide quickly. Experience with Hyperion (HFM), SAP (ECC) and Power BI. Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to work autonomously. Advanced Excel skills, highly analytical and detail oriented.
