About the role Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high‑quality plasma you collect will become life‑changing medicines. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and work as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. How you will contribute Determine donor eligibility, manage informed consent, provide AIDS education, handle confidential self‑exclusion, conduct medical history interviews, perform physical examinations, blood testing, and review serological protein electrophoresis results. Evaluate donor reactions as outlined in the SOPs, follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, develop Center Physician's standing orders, and transport donors to emergency care. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents, determine further evaluation by occupational health/ER, and refer to EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations of pandemic threats within the local community. What you bring to Takeda High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements. Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT‑Paramedic. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy. Complete FDA‑approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years in a clinical or hospital setting. Compensation and Benefits U.S. hourly wage range: $28.16 – $38.72. The actual hourly wage offered may depend on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
