Job Title Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results. Manage donor adverse events and notify donors of unsuitable test results. Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including developing Center Physician standing orders and coordinating transportation to emergency care. Refer medical or technical issues to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs as necessary. Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine if further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER. Act as a Pandemic Coordinator, when authorized by EHS, and investigate local community pandemic threats. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements. Current licensing or certification in the state of assignment (EMT-Paramedic). Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfillment of state IV therapy requirements. Completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting. Location and Compensation USA - CO - Thornton Hourly Wage: $28.16 – $38.72 (actual wage may vary based on qualifications, experience, and skills).
