GRADE 20 LOCATION OF POSITION Howard County, IID Headquarters, 8520 Corridor Road, Suite H, Savage, MD 20763 Main Purpose of Job The Program Manager II position for the IID Support Services Unit, provides strategic vision and full executive oversight for the expanded Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID) Support Services Unit. This role directs all administrative, operational, and technical support functions for IID and shares information to the DPSCS Office of the Secretary leadership and other State and Federal agency leaders. Manages critical resources, ensuring legal compliance, and maintaining agency-wide data integrity. POSITION DUTIES The Program Manager II position for the IID Support Services Unit, provides strategic vision and full executive oversight for the expanded Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID) Support Services Unit. This role directs all administrative, operational, and technical support functions for IID and shares information to the DPSCS Office of the Secretary leadership and other State and Federal agency leaders. Manages critical resources, ensuring legal compliance, and maintaining agency-wide data integrity. Personnel & Leadership Oversight Strategic Planning/Development, Policy Compliance, Audit Oversight, and Data Analytics Makes Critical Decisions and Recommendations Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology. Experience: 7 Years of experience managing law enforcement support services staff. Desired Or Preferred Qualifications Experience managing the DPSCS Law Enforcement Records Management System (RMS) Experience managing Maryland Public Information Act (PIA) Requests and (MPIA) Requests LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION This recruitment is limited to current DPSCS Intelligence & Investigative Division employees. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland. SELECTION PROCESS Successful candidates will be ranked as Best Qualified, Better Qualified, or Qualified and placed on the eligible (employment) list for at least one year. EXAMINATION PROCESS The assessment may consist of a rating of your education, training, and experience related to the requirements of the position.
