Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department Job Type: Full Time | Mid‑Shift Sign‑On Bonus: $20,000 for Night Shift with a 2‑year commitment for eligible candidates. Schedule: 3x12s, mid‑shift (3 p – 3 a). Holidays and weekends required. About the Role Haywood Regional Medical Center is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. Join our team in a dynamic 17‑bed Emergency Department (ED) with a 1:4 nurse‑to‑patient ratio. The ED sees a variety of patients, including abdominal pain and shortness of breath, with an average daily volume of approximately 74 patients. How You’ll Contribute Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs. Initiate appropriate nursing interventions. Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient. Perform timely documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record. Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient. Perform timely and accurate QI assessments. What We’re Looking For Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license. Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. AHA Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire. AHA ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire. One year of experience preferred. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to work in a stressful environment.
