Accounting Clerk Position
The Accounting Clerk supports daily financial operations and is responsible for managing Accounts Payable for four companies, including reviewing and auditing invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and timely payment. This position plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the integrity of accounting data across multiple entities. The role also includes auditing and entering sales contracts for windows, doors, roofing, and insulation projects, ensuring all information is complete and accurately recorded within company systems.
In addition, the Accounting Clerk tracks and maintains various commission structures, accurately records customer payments, manages petty cash distribution and reconciliation, and performs daily banking activities, including deposits. This position works closely with sales, operations, and management teams to ensure financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Accounting Clerk
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (or similar field) is preferred, but not required
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience required
- Experience with Accounts Payable, account reconciliations, and general accounting functions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Experience working with multiple accounting software programs
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
Compensation and Benefits for the Accounting Clerk
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary structure based on skills and experience. The Company also offers a generous compensation package including health, dental and vision, 401K retirement plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
