) Job Description Light Duty Shop Oiler (Rotational Schedule) - Prudhoe Bay, AK Job Number: PRU0162 Description This is a remote position, working a rotational schedule, in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided. Job Purpose: Responsible for oiling and lubricating light duty vehicles in the shop and field. Essential Job Functions: Verify and perform any necessary preventive maintenance on all light duty vehicles. Checks and maintains all levels of oils, greases and other lubricants in light duty vehicles according to specified procedures and oral instructions. Checks and records meter readings. Inspect equipment belts, hoses, and leaks. Document any necessary maintenance. Must provide own set of basic tools. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of light duty vehicle preventative maintenance. Knowledge of and experience in lubrication procedures for all types of light duty vehicles. Ability to maintain preventative maintenance records. Ability to prioritize the preventative maintenance workload. Ability to work closely with mechanics. Ability to give and receive oral safety warnings, instructions, and task assignments. Ability to use hand and power tools. Ability to read and understand job descriptions, safety/technical manuals, and safety/warning signs. Ability to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with fellow workers and alternate. Ability to demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures. Ability to demonstrate support for the company’s environmental management system. Physical Demands/Work Environment: Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to: Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear. Standing for prolonged periods of time. Driving for prolonged periods of time in the dark and inclement weather Ability to climb scaffold, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater. Ability to wear and utilize fall protection within manufacturer specifications. Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands. Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands. Carry 50 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands. Push/pull 60 lbs. sled for 20 feet. Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet. Qualifications Required Qualifications: One (1) year as a light duty oiler or equipment related trade school degree. Valid driver’s license including ability to be insured by Worley auto insurer. High school diploma or equivalent (GED). North Slope Training Cooperative. Worley can provide NSTC certification if needed.
