Custodian | PM - Aurora Downtown Campus (PT) Part-time Staff Hybrid Option: No Aurora Downtown Campus Waubonsee Community College is committed to hiring and retaining exceptional faculty and staff who are committed to the college’s culture of collaboration, professional growth and student success. Thebasic function of this position is to perform custodial duties as required fordaily operation for assigned building interiors of the college. The custodian position reports to and takesdirection from the Shift Lead Custodian, Facilities Services Supervisor and theDirector of Buildings, Grounds and Events. Responsibilities Coordinate and maintain cleanliness of facilities oncampus in such a manner that the best possible image of the college ispresented at all times. Inspect and monitor assigned building(s), checking forcleanliness, restocking restrooms, handling minor emergencies to ensure safetyand cleanliness. Clean interior glass surfaces minimum of twice a monthat all buildings or as required. Assist in furniture moving or set‑ups as directed. Monitor custodial supply inventory and requestadditional stock as required and verify all inventory is kept in a neat andorderly manner in your assigned area. Identify and report maintenance problems on campus tothe Shift Lead Custodian, Facilities Services Supervisor and/or the Director ofBuildings, Grounds and Events Snow removal as needed. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. One year of successful employment in a custodialposition preferred. Physical ability to individually lift 35 poundsrequired. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work well independently. Position Details req2195 Grant Funded: No Compensation Range: 15.45 - 18.62 Compensation Type: Hourly Compensation: The pay for this position will be determined by your experience, education, and qualifications. Work Schedule: Other Tue-Thrs 5:30-10:30pm Fri 2-7pm Sat 9-2 Work Hours: 25 hrs./week (Max.)
