Duties

• Develop, implement, and oversee EHS policies and procedures aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and other regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments to identify risks related to hazardous materials, environmental impact, and employee health.
• Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
• Provide comprehensive safety training and development programs for employees on topics such as first aid, CPR, hazardous materials handling, safety regulations, and environmental compliance.
• Ensure compliance with workers' compensation law by managing injury reports, claims processing, and ergonomic assessments.
• Maintain accurate documentation of safety records, incident reports, audit findings, and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with management to foster a safety-first culture that emphasizes proactive risk mitigation and continuous improvement.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and environmental health practices.
• Expertise in occupational health principles with a focus on employee health regulatory compliance standards.
• Proven experience in manufacturing environments with an understanding of safety regulations specific to production settings.
• Excellent report writing skills coupled with analytical abilities for root cause analysis of incidents.
• Ability to deliver engaging training sessions on safety procedures, hazard recognition, and emergency response protocols such as first aid, CPR, and OSHA compliance.
• Familiarity with workers' compensation law processes and legal requirements related to workplace injuries.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with regulatory agencies and internal teams on environmental legal compliance standards.
