Vice President – Asset Management (Multifamily)
A growing San Francisco–based real estate investment firm is seeking a Vice President of Asset Management to lead the performance and strategy of a multifamily-focused portfolio in supply-constrained Bay Area markets. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and wants to drive value creation across a diverse portfolio.
Role Overview
- Oversee multifamily (and select retail) assets, ensuring top-tier operational and financial performance
- Lead property management teams, vendors, and capital improvement initiatives
- Develop and execute value-add strategies to enhance NOI and long-term asset value
- Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and performance reporting
- Partner with senior leadership and investors on portfolio updates and strategy
- Mentor junior team members and strengthen internal processes
Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of real estate asset management experience (multifamily required)
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience leading value-add business plans and capital projects
- Excellent communicator with strong relationship-building skills
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
Compensation
- Total Cash Comp $250-350k plus LTIP/Equity
- Full benefits package (health, vision, dental, 401k match, PTO)
