Production Cook
Family-owned specialty food market and kitchen known for scratch-made Italian prepared foods, sauces, spreads, salads and holiday catering. Our production kitchen supplies our stores, grab-and-go cases and catering orders. If you like cooking from scratch in volume and want to work daytime hours, we'd like to meet you.

West Chester, PA
Schedule
Full time, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. At least one weekend day required. Overtime during peak seasons.
Responsibilities
- Prepare large batches of soups, sauces, entrées, sides, salads, dips and spreads from standardized recipes
- Prep proteins and vegetables, and run ovens, grills, stove top, kettles, mixers and other production equipment
- Follow recipes, portion sizes and batch yields exactly so every batch is consistent
- Follow food safety rules: temperature logs, cooling, FIFO rotation, allergen control and sanitation
- Keep your station, walk-ins and storage areas clean and organized
- Help with receiving and putting away deliveries
- Work with the team to fill daily production lists and catering orders on time
Qualifications
- 1+ year of cooking experience in a production kitchen, commissary, catering or high-volume restaurant
- Solid knife skills and basic cooking techniques
- Ability to read and follow recipes, and to scale them up or down
- Dependable, on time, and works well on a team
- Able to stand for a full shift and lift up to 50 lbs
- ServSafe Food Handler certification preferred, or willing to get it
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
