Details Pediatrics unit (B4-Meth) caring for Peds Hem/Onc, Med Surg, and all pediatric specialties 14-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:2-4 May float to NICU, B3 general floor, PICU, or the pediatric ED to care for general pediatric patients boarding there Night shift schedule, 7p-7a, 36 hrs/week Weekend commitment every 3rd weekend Possible on-call during low census periods, 2300-0700 Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active IA or compact/multistate RN license required BLS certification (AHA) PALS certification (AHA) APHON certification (Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses) required Pediatric experience within the previous 18 months required Hematology/Oncology experience required Minimum 24 months of Pediatric and/or Oncology work experience Epic EMR experience within the previous 12 months required Must be willing to float to the ED to care for inpatient holds Driver's license required for consideration Supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within 24 months preferred Additional Information Provide nursing care to pediatric patients across hematology/oncology, med-surg, and other pediatric specialties Must have completed at least one prior travel contract within the past 18 months; first-time travelers not considered Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are restricted from working travel assignments in another market within 12 months of separation Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed American Traveler Job ID P-766998.
