Occupational Therapist (PART-TIME)AdviniaCare Oakland Grove is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team! As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation to a general rehab caseload. You will also participate in the clinical team process, provide teaching and training to caregiver staff, and supervise other therapists, assistants, aides, and students as required.Job Responsibilities:Screens patients/residents and evaluates them to develop appropriate care plansProvides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of careConsults with and trains patients/residents and caregiversDocuments activities according to the company's clinical documentation system on a timely basisParticipates in clinical program development and implementationParticipates in the training and orientation of other staff, students, and volunteersParticipates in census building and marketing activitiesDemonstrates ability for continuous new learning to remain current in the fieldComplies with facility Privacy Practices policies and procedures and protects residents' individual health informationMay perform additional duties as requested by supervisorRequirements:Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Occupational TherapyCEU's per state licensure requirementsMust possess an OT license in Rhode Island, or be in the process of obtaining oneAbility to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customersStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational and analytical skillsStanding and walking for significant amounts of time is necessaryCommunication skills required for directing staff, customer relations, and marketing activitiesAbility to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment, and direct patient careRequires intense attention and concentrationAbility to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demandsDemonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for self and othersAbility to deal with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgroundsAbility to articulate and comprehend the English languageWork Schedule:20 hours per weekJoin our team and make a difference in the lives of our residents!
