Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Assignment Details:

Contract Weeks: 13
Guaranteed Hours: 36.00

Requirements:

Current RN license in state of practice: Required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
One year previous full-time experience in the operating room: Required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification: Preferred
Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR): Preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists and coordinate the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff during surgical procedures.
Ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care.
Participate in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment.
Operate all equipment routinely utilized in the Operating Room safely.
Prepare patients for surgery, including appropriate anatomical positioning.
Document relevant information for patient care and meet established department criteria.

Compliance / Notes:

Position is represented by CNA. Efficiently utilize downtime for job-related tasks.
