Pay Range: $19 - $19.50/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• OT Rate: $30/hour
• Weekly Gross: $1,761.10 (based on completion of 36 hours per week)
• Per-Diem (Meals, Incidentals & Lodging): $1,059.10/week
• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory disorders including COPD, asthma, pneumonia, and acute respiratory failure.
• Manage mechanical ventilation for critically ill patients, including setup, monitoring, and weaning.
• Administer aerosolized medications, bronchial hygiene therapies, and oxygen therapy.
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and analysis; interpret results and adjust therapies.
• Respond to rapid response calls, codes, and emergency airway management.
• Assist with intubations, extubations, and bedside pulmonary procedures.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, inhaler techniques, and home oxygen.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Must have skills: - Respiratory Therapist, RRT, NBRC, BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Active NBRC - RRT credential (required)
• Active Respiratory Therapist license (GA or Compact State)
• AHA BLS , ACLS , and PALS certifications (required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience within respiratory care specialty
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (6:45am–7:15pm), schedule varies
• No local candidates within 50 miles
• Strong critical thinking and ability to work independently in high-pressure situations
• Proficiency in ventilator management (various modes and platforms)
• Excellent airway management and intubation assistance skills
• Strong ABG interpretation and therapeutic adjustment capabilities
• Effective communication with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
• Compassionate patient and family education approach
