The pay is $27/hr. with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Education: Minimum Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field required.
2. Licensure: Valid Ohio LSW, LPC, or MFT required.
3. Skills/Competencies:

• Experience: Experience working with children, adolescents and their families.
• Clinical Skill: Demonstrated clinical skills including expertise in systemic family therapy, crisis intervention, family education, behavioral interventions, and substance abuse therapy.
• Initiative: Ability to perform job responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.
  Core Expertise: Possesses skill, knowledge and abilities to perform the essential duties of their role; keeps knowledge up to date.
• Cultural Competency: Demonstrates awareness, sensitivity and skills in working professionally with diverse individuals, groups and communities who represent various cultural and personal background and characteristics.
• Interpersonal Communication: Communicates clearly using verbal, nonverbal, and written skills in a professional context; demonstrates clear understanding and use of professional language.
• Professional & Ethical Conduct: Adheres to professional values such as honesty, personal responsibility, and accountability; applies ethical concepts within scope of work and adheres to Agency policies and procedures.

Bellefaire JCB helps more than 43,000 youth and their families yearly achieve resiliency, dignity and self-sufficiency through its more than 25 programs, including the Intensive Treatment Program. Our Intensive Treatment Program is a co-ed therapeutic residential treatment program for youth, ages 8 through 17, with significant mental health and psychiatric needs. The program provides a safe, secure home-like setting where their path toward healing can begin. The Intensive Treatment Program specializes in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)—a cognitive behavioral treatment approach that emphasizes the development of four skill sets: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance

JOB SUMMARY:
The Clinical Services Therapist is a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team and is responsible for the development, implementation and management of curriculum and treatment of youth in the Residential Treatment Program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Provide professional clinical services, including but not limited to: biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans and reviews, individual counseling, group counseling, family therapy, consultation, aftercare planning, and termination reports.
2. Collaborate with respective treatment team members regarding treatment planning, progress, and ongoing needs in a timely and consistent manner.
3. Responsible for group/team leading and clinical planning of therapeutic groups and individual clients involved in Day Treatment and Group Therapy.
4. Assist in crisis intervention, problem resolution and process discussions with clients on an assigned and an as needed basis.
5. Protect clients from physical and emotional harm emanating from themselves, others, or the environment including use of the Therapeutic Crisis Model of Intervention, utilizing physical restraints as necessary.
6. Attendance to staffing and/or clinical rounds as necessary for youth and family.
7. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
8. Provide back up support to other staff members as directed.

OTHER DUTIES:

1. Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training.
2. All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
3. Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment. All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
4. Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
5. Other duties as assigned by management.
