Senior Domestic Tax Accountant

Senior Domestic Tax Accountant McAfee is a global security provider focused on protecting individuals and organizations. This remote role may require occasional in‑person work at the Frisco, TX office and will seek candidates who can commute to Frisco or Dallas. The Senior Domestic Tax Accountant will work with a supportive team to review federal and state tax filings, prepare tax provisions, manage tax notices, interact with auditors, forecast estimated quarterly taxes, and support continuous process improvements. Responsibilities Review federal and state compliance filings prepared by third‑party preparers Prepare, evaluate, and troubleshoot federal multi‑year adjustments, including state tax provision impact Prepare state and local tax modifications, multistate allocations, and apportionments for tax provisions and compliance Prepare federal and state tax reconciliations Compute and prepare federal and state quarterly estimated taxes, including partnership withholding Assist with resolution of federal and state tax notices Conduct federal and state income tax research and analysis Monitor legislative and regulatory developments that may affect tax compliance Maintain and update monthly tax compliance calendars Communicate with team members and external consultants on tax‑related matters Respond to inbound requests via centralized state email Support implementation of process improvements and data automation initiatives Assist other team members as required Qualifications Minimum 4 years of federal and state tax experience in public accounting or industry (more preferred) BA/BS/BBA in Accounting or related field (advanced degree preferred) Active CPA license highly preferred Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, local tax, and tax accounting Experience with partnership and corporate structures Experience with OneSource OTP and/or Alteryx preferred Experience with Workday or SAP preferred Advanced Excel skills; proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF Excellent analytical skills and strong organizational abilities High level of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Strong sense of ownership and urgency Team‑oriented and collaborative in a fast‑paced environment Benefits 401(k) retirement plan Medical, dental, and vision coverage Basic life, short‑term disability, and long‑term disability insurance Paid parental leave Paid company holidays, unlimited paid time off for exempt employees, and paid sick leave for non‑exempt employees Support for community involvement and diversity initiatives Equal Employment Opportunity McAfee is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status.
