Key Account Manager - United States Field Workers

Amgen seeks a Key Account Manager to manage assigned accounts across hospitals, clinics, and health systems in California. The role involves executing account strategies, optimizing patient access and outcomes for Amgen products, and coordinating with internal teams to drive business performance. Reporting to a Key Account Director, the position requires independent judgment in account planning, stakeholder relationship building, and performance monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Execute account strategies across assigned geography or customer segments via live and virtual engagement
- Develop and implement targeted account plans aligned to product strategy and business objectives
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across health systems, IDNs, clinics, and GPOs
- Monitor account performance, identify barriers to success, and adjust plans accordingly
- Partner with internal teams to optimize access, contracting, and formulary placement
Requirements
- Doctorate degree with 2+ years sales or account management experience
- Master's degree with 4+ years sales or account management experience
- Bachelor's degree with 6+ years sales or account management experience
- Experience navigating Buy & Bill reimbursement models and healthcare contracting
- Ability to manage complexity across multiple stakeholders in healthcare systems
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial and reimbursement data
- Executive presence and communication skills for senior clinical engagement
