Business Development Manager III - Financial Wellness Solutions

Position Overview As a Business Development Manager III within PNC’s Financial Wellness Solutions organization, you will drive new client acquisition and solution expansion in the Midwest Territory. Your focus will be supporting Relationship Managers, pursuing opportunities with large corporate, diversified industries, and financial institutions, and positioning financial wellness solutions such as health and benefit accounts, student debt solutions, earned wage access, and other workforce capabilities to senior decision‑makers. You will close new business, expand existing relationships, and build market presence through networking and collaboration with Centers of Influence, brokers, and strategic partners. Responsibilities Develop and execute client acquisition strategies for financial wellness solutions across complex, high‑value accounts. Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities using a consultative sales approach from initial engagement through close. Lead new client outreach and expansion initiatives within the Large Corporate, Diversified Industries Group (DIG), and Financial Institutions Group (FIG) segments. Position differentiated financial wellness solutions to senior stakeholders and key decision‑makers. Close new business and expand existing client relationships in partnership with internal teams. Build and maintain a professional network of Centers of Influence, brokers, and strategic partners to support pipeline growth. Travel within the supported territory to meet with Relationship Managers, clients, prospects, and partners. Showcase the full range of PNC products and services, leveraging reporting and sales tools to identify and convert opportunities. Manage risk/return and quality for new and existing clients, mitigating regulatory, reputational, and operational risks. Generate ideas and best practices within financial wellness solutions, serving as a mentor when appropriate. Maintain and deepen client relationships to increase revenue and share of wallet. Qualifications 8+ years of relevant industry experience with a proven record of initiating and closing new business within professional services, manufacturing, healthcare, wholesale, or general services sectors. University or college degree (Bachelor’s preferred; Masters, PhD, or certifications desirable). Knowledge of business acumen, client relationship management, customer experience, decision making, critical thinking, effective communication, and sales negotiation. Tech‑savvy ability and familiarity with sales tools and data analysis. Strong understanding of the financial wellness solutions portfolio and the ability to evaluate complex client needs. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job‑specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered. Compensation Base Salary: $80,000 – $179,400, varying by geography and experience. This role is incentive eligible and compensation is based upon personal, business, and company performance.
