Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

At ARC Psychiatry, the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment in an outpatient setting, working within a collaborative, patient-centered care model. Success in this role is demonstrated through safe prescribing practices, strong patient engagement, and close collaboration with therapy and interdisciplinary clinical teams.

Key responsibilities include conducting psychiatric assessments and diagnoses, prescribing and managing psychotropic medications, monitoring treatment response and adjusting care plans, maintaining accurate, timely clinical documentation, and collaborating with therapists and other providers as part of an integrated care model.

Compensation and benefits include a starting base salary up to $125,000; following 6 months of employment transition to up to 55% of net collections; (Estimated annual earning potential of up to $175,000 w/ benefits). Required qualifications include board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), possession and maintenance of a valid and unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License pursuant to the laws of the State where healthcare services are provided, possession and maintenance of a valid and unrestricted license(s) to practice nursing pursuant to the laws of the State where healthcare services are provided, possession and maintenance of a valid Drug Enforcement Administration ("DEA") number and all other licenses and certificates that may be lawfully required to prescribe medications, including controlled substances; minimum of 1 year of post-certification experience, outpatient preferred, ability to function well independently, as well as a member of a multidisciplinary team, ability to work productively and effectively, possession of good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as thorough knowledge about the various medical processes and procedures, possession and maintenance of adequate/required Professional Liability Insurance policy, and compliance with prescription drug monitoring program regulations.

Preferred qualifications include experience treating diverse age groups, comfort with telepsychiatry, and knowledge of evidence-based medication protocols.
