Accountant

This position will handle core accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to timely reporting across payables, receivables, payroll, and general ledger activities. Apply today by calling View phone number on job-api.jobget.com.Responsibilities:• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and general ledger maintenance.• Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and on schedule.• Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet items to support complete and reliable month-end close processes.• Process payroll for a workforce of fewer than 100 employees and help maintain accurate payroll records.• Produce monthly financial reports and assist with routine reviews of accounting data for accuracy and completeness.• Support excise tax tracking, invoicing, and other operational accounting tasks tied to ongoing business needs.• Maintain accounting records in systems such as QuickBooks Desktop and assist with payroll administration tools when needed.• Contribute to accounting activities within a government contracting environment, including work aligned with defense-related financial practices when applicable.
