HVAC Service Manager

HVAC Service Manager Job Location - Lorton, VAWe are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead a team of 15 technicians. This role is approximately 80% office based and 20% field based, combining hands on leadership with strategic oversight of daily service operations, budget management, and team development.Responsibilities:Drive profitability and customer satisfaction by enhancing revenue growth while consistently delivering exceptional serviceEvaluate and schedule service work to effectively utilize manpower and maximize operational efficiencyDevelop, manage, and oversee departmental budgets to meet financial objectivesOversee ordering and allocation of materials and equipment to ensure availability for scheduled jobsSchedule timely repairs and maintenance for parts to reduce job completion delaysContribute to research and marketing strategies to help drive business growthGenerate and review performance reports with management to monitor and improve operationsTrack and measure inventory, tools, and vehicle usage to ensure accurate recordsInstruct and guide crews on proper material use and ensure high quality workmanshipReview payroll records to verify accurate and timely technician compensationEnsure employees have access to necessary tools that are well maintained and ready for useAssist in dispatching to ensure the right technician is assigned to each service requestAddress and resolve customer issues and complaints promptlyEvaluate staff performance, identify training needs, and provide on the job training and supportAssist in identifying and developing future leaders, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluationsEnsure adherence to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environmentBuild trust and strong working relationships across the teamAdditional duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of hands on HVAC service experienceWorking knowledge of HVAC systems, gas piping, electricity, plumbing, and airflowProven supervisory experience with strong communication, computer, and mathematical skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectivelyProactive, positive approach with a commitment to high quality workStrong customer service orientationValid driver's license and clean driving recordMust pass background check and drug testPhysical Requirements:Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionallyClimbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, entering crawlspaces, pushing, pulling, carrying, using hand tools, and performing fine detail workAbility to drive to various locations as neededWorking in indoor and outdoor environments, including attics and crawlspacesAbility to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear, in person and by phoneAbility to use hands to handle objects or controls and reach with hands and armsRegular stooping, kneeling, bending, and crouchingRegular exposure to extreme temperatures and adverse weather conditionsReasonable accommodations will be made to allow an employee to perform the essential functions of this role.Preferred Qualifications:2+ years of HVAC management experienceServiceTitan experience highly desired
