Purchasing Associate

Purchasing & P2P (Procure-to-Pay) Specialist Rochester, NY — Full‑Time | Contract / Temp‑to‑Hire — $23–$25/hr (based on experience) — Monday – Friday, standard business hours Hybrid work schedule and requires a weekly presence in our Rochester, NY based office 2‑3 days a week. Working with a global manufacturing organization seeking a Purchasing & P2P Specialist to support day‑to‑day procurement operations and ensure a smooth procure‑to‑pay (P2P) process. This role is a mix of purchasing execution, supplier coordination, and invoice/payment support. Ideal for someone who understands how procurement flows from order through payment and enjoys working across teams. What You’ll Do Create, review, and manage purchase orders to support ongoing operations Obtain quotes and assist with competitive sourcing to ensure best value Maintain supplier and product data (pricing, lead times, system updates) Track order status and resolve issues such as delays, shortages, or discrepancies Work with global sourcing and purchasing teams across multiple locations Manage the full P2P workflow from requisition through payment Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice mismatches and payment issues Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and controls Identify process gaps and support continuous improvement efforts Serve as a point of contact for suppliers regarding orders and invoicing Support supplier onboarding and maintain accurate vendor records What We’re Looking For Experience in purchasing, procurement operations, or P2P workflows Understanding of purchase orders, sourcing, and invoice processing ERP or P2P system experience (Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus) Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Comfortable working with internal teams and suppliers in a global environment Qualifications Associate’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred OR equivalent hands‑on experience in purchasing or procurement Benefits and Equal Employment Opportunity Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
