Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Gastroenterology

As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care while addressing a diverse range of gastrointestinal conditions. Your contributions will directly impact the well-being of patients, as well as support our mission to connect healthcare professionals with facilities in need of their specialized skills. 

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive gastroenterology services to patients
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care
• Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in gastroenterology
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families
• Participate in continuous education and training programs

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Gastroenterology
• Active medical license in the state of practice
• Strong clinical skills and a patient-centered approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Previous experience in a locum or contract position is a plus
• Commitment to continuous professional development and education

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4 or 5-day workweeks

24/7 shared call requirement

Setting: Inpatient endoscopy unit

Patient Census: 14-18 per day

Ability to perform advanced procedures is preferred

30-minutes per procedure

Support Staff: RN, tech, CRNAs, etc.

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
