Star Bank is seeking a full-time  Teller/Customer Service Rep  for its office in Maple Lake, Minnesota. The following is a summary of job responsibilities:

• Cashing checks, depositing bank transactions, and providing overall customer service in-person, via phone, and via email. 

• Learning and maintaining Star Bank product knowledge and staying abreast of rules and regulations which affect bank operations. 

• Safeguarding bank assets by maintaining drawer limit, balancing customer transactions, and meeting transaction standards.

• Acting as a back-up for incoming phone calls as needed.

• Must be willing to perform misc. duties as they are assigned. In addition, must be wiling to rotate shifts as needed, and attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions. 

An outgoing, energetic personality is a must. We are seeking a candidate who will provide great customer service, has strong problem-solving skills, and good organizational/follow -through skills. Star Bank hires team players who are excited to work at an established, family-owned, independent community bank. The right candidate will be dependable and willing to take on new tasks and assist in making things run smoother, easier, and faster. 

Computer skills:
A successful candidate will be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Windows-based systems. Computer ability and typing is a must! He/she must have the ability to learn quickly on the computer and adapt as necessary. 

Experience requirements:
Must have a minimum of 1-year of experience as a Teller -OR- other professional cash handling or banking experience.

Compliance and BSA knowledge are a plus. Must be comfortable handling and being responsible for cash in a responsible manner. 

Education requirements:
HS diploma or equivalent. 

NOTE:  Star Bank Maple Lake is open for half the day on Saturdays. If you are applying for this position, you agree to work on Saturdays within a rotation along with our other eligible employees. 

Physical requirements: 

• Must have the ability to remain stationary in a restricted workspace for as much as 50% or more of the typical work day. This position requires a great deal of standing. 
• Must be able to meet the additional 'reaching' needs of the Drive-Thru.
• Must have the ability to lift and carry bags weighing more than 10 lbs.
