Position Information Title: Direct Support Professional Location: Rhodes Tower 30 EBroad St. Columbus, OH 43215 Schedule: Monday to Friday 3:15 pm – 11:15 pm Hourly Wage: 18 dollars per hour with a one and a half dollar shift differential Shift: Second Employment Type: Non-Exempt Responsibilities Support skill development by personalizing communication and task training approaches to match each participant’s learning style and needs. Encourage growth and independence by helping participants improve work and life skills and progress toward personal goals. Provide hands‑on job support to assist participants in completing cleaning contract duties and safely using work supplies, machinery, tools, and cleaning equipment. Coach participants for success by teaching new hard and soft skills in real‑world work settings and promoting confidence and independence. Support daily living needs by assisting participants with health maintenance, personal hygiene, and other daily living activities as needed. Ensure quality and compliance by documenting services provided and maintaining compliance with CMS, DODD, OOD, and CARF standards. Create safe environments by helping maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive work environment for everyone served. Make a meaningful impact by helping participants gain confidence, develop abilities, and experience greater independence and inclusion. Qualifications Age 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Positive, patient, and encouraging with strong communication skills. Comfortable teaching, coaching, and supporting individuals with diverse needs. Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in an active work environment. Passionate about helping others grow and succeed. Willingness to provide hands‑on support in both employment and personal care settings. Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required. Professional, dependable, and committed to making a difference every day. Requirements Must submit to a BCII/FBI background check and Nurses Aid & Abuser Registry checks. Maintain American Red Cross or equivalent first aid and CPR certification. Valid State of Ohio driver’s license and insurance standards. Complete eight hours of training required by the Ohio Department of Development upon hire. Must pass a drug screen.
