Hospital Specifics- Certifications: preferred, but not required Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: Prefer a minimum of 2-years recent MedSurg, Telemetry (remote), and Step-Down (PCU) level experience. Must have : Positive attitude with a focus on teamwork for this fast-paced quick-turnover unit. Our focus is ED decompression and enhanced throughput. We are not an overflow or a holding unit. We are a Clinical Decision/Direct Admit Unit with a primary goal of receiving admitted patients from the ED, completing the Admission Assessment, Medication Reconciliation, and initiating acute care orders. This constantly refined process reduces overall length of stay and enhances the patient/family experience. We care for patients with a wide variety of diagnoses; therefore, a well-rounded background will be instrumental. Advanced skills needed: Charge Nurse experience or willingness to consider is appreciated.
