- Lead electrical system design for commercial facilities, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage controls.
- Perform complex load calculations, short-circuit studies, and arc-flash analysis to optimize system performance, efficiency, and safety.
- Collaborate with mechanical, structural, and BIM teams to deliver coordinated construction documents on time and within budget.
- Serve as electrical technical lead on multi-disciplinary projects, mentoring junior engineers and reviewing submittals and shop drawings.
- Interface directly with clients to develop Owner Project Requirements, define project scope, and present technical recommendations.
- Support construction-phase services by responding to RFIs, performing site observations, and participating in commissioning activities.
- Champion continuous improvement by leveraging emerging digital design tools, automation workflows, and sustainable design best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program (master's a plus).
- 8+ years of building electrical design experience; Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 12 months strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Revit, SKM or ETAP, and lighting calculation software.
- In-depth knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE standards, and applicable energy codes.
- Experience coordinating remote project teams and communicating effectively across time zones.
- Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
