Our Internal Medicine practice in Pelham, AL is seeking a Senior Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with at least 2 year of experience to join our team.

In this role, you'll perform hands-on patient care under the direction of our providers, support clinical operations, and make meaningful connections with patients every day.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and patient care activities
• Prepare patients for visits and gather accurate clinical information
• Enter orders under provider direction (labs, medications, diagnostic imaging)
• Document care per policy and maintain smooth patient flow
• Support patients needing specialty scheduling or care coordination
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and team members

Qualifications

• What We're Looking For

• 1 year of Certified Medical Assistant experience (required)
• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program or 1 year of applicable MA experience in addition to required experience
• Current CMA certification from an approved agency (AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, NAHP, etc.)
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification
• Someone who thrives in a busy environment , demonstrates patience , and can handle multiple priorities

Phlebotomy and X-ray experience are a plus but not required .
