Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Core Competencies:
-Attention to detail and time management skills
-Basic knowledge in construction related equipment, machinery, and vehicles
-Ability to use a variety of tools to repair equipment
-Maintain our core values – Safety – Integrity – Quality of work
DUTIES:
-Inspection, repair, and maintenance of trucks, bulldozers, and other construction related equipment
-Ensure equipment follows safety guidelines in accordance with company standards
-Perform safety checks on equipment prior to use
-Diagnosing and reporting faults in equipment and taking appropriate action to ensure safety guidelines are met
-Repair equipment in a timely manner to promote continuation of projects
-Read and understand diagrams related to equipment utilized by the company
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
-Equivalent to high school diploma
-1-2 years of experience as a construction mechanic
-Experience working on diesel-powered equipment or other heavy equipment
-Understanding of computer diagnostic testing technologies
-Knowledge regarding vehicle engines and construction equipment
