Robert Half Finance & Accounting Contract Talent is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client’s team on a temporary opportunity basis.

Key Responsibilities
Process a high volume of purchase order (PO) invoices and match invoices to purchase orders.
Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies.
Investigate and resolve invoice, payment, and account-related issues.
Communicate with internal departments and external vendors to obtain information, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely processing.
Maintain accurate accounts payable records and supporting documentation.
Assist with additional accounts payable duties as needed.

Qualifications
Previous experience in an accounts payable role, preferably in a high-volume environment.
Experience with purchase order matching and vendor statement reconciliations.
Strong research, problem-solving, and discrepancy resolution skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage a high volume of transactions while meeting deadlines.

• High level of attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
• Capability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining consistent quality.
• Familiarity with accounts payable functions such as invoice coding, account coding, and check run support.
