$124,200.00 - $207,000.00

This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.

The Job

As an Experienced Software Developer, your responsibilities will include:

• Recognizing, articulating, and making technical decisions / trade-offs across multiple dimensions (scaling, reliability, performance, maintenance, business needs, etc.).
• Designing, developing, testing, and debugging software applications.
• Delivering production-quality software on time, with accurate estimates, in a continuous integration and deployment environment that meets established standards and desired functionality.
• Expanding your working knowledge of your technical domain.
• Participating in research efforts that help define future technology decisions.
• Understanding and proactively following team processes, documentation, best practices, and code style guides.
• Maintaining existing codebases.
• Working in areas of the codebase outside your core competency with minimal guidance.
• Navigating roadblocks effectively, collaborating with others when necessary.
• Coordinating with development teams impacted by your work and ensuring alignment on goals and sequencing, while collaborating with architecture, stakeholders, and product owners.
• Providing technical support, including direct customer support and escalation handling.
• Communicating technical work through design documents and presentations.
• Providing insightful feedback on pull requests, designs, and features to support quality and security.
• Mentoring junior developers and offering technical guidance across teams.

We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of experience developing software in major object-oriented programming languages such as TypeScript, with experience designing and building large connected systems (devices, servers, and cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
• Experience leading medium-scale, medium-impact initiatives with independent follow-through
• Track record of owning and delivering mission-critical, high-complexity products or services
• Proven ability to write clean, well-architected, and well-tested code
• Experience designing, building, and debugging applications or cloud-based services
• Experience building and using RESTful APIs
• Solid understanding of security best practices
• Ability to identify and automate repeatable tasks
• Passion for problem-solving and learning new technologies
• Strong communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills
