We are looking for a motivated, dependable, and growth-minded Manager in Training (MIT) to join our leadership team and grow with us. This position is ideal for someone who wants to build a long‑term career in restaurant leadership and management. As a Manager in Training, you will work closely with our General Managers and leadership teams to gain hands‑on experience in daily operations, customer service, food safety, team development, and overall restaurant management. Responsibilities What You’ll Do: Train in all areas of restaurant operations Learn shift leadership, labor management, and team development Assist with opening and closing procedures Support daily customer service and help create a positive guest experience Learn inventory management, ordering, and cost controls Help maintain food quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards Work alongside General Managers and experienced leadership teams Step in where needed to support store operations and leadership coverage Build the skills needed for future management opportunities Qualifications What We’re Looking For: Positive attitude and strong work ethic Natural leadership ability and willingness to learn Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented Strong communication and problem‑solving skills Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment Reliable transportation Ability to travel between locations during training Restaurant or leadership experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person Additional Information Training & Flexibility: This is a hands‑on leadership development role. During training, candidates may be scheduled to work at multiple Village Baker locations depending on business needs, staffing support, and training opportunities. This allows our MIT team members to gain valuable experience working alongside different managers, teams, and store environments.
