Medical Receptionist/Patient Care Coordinator

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Medical Receptionist/Patient Care Coordinator is a vital role that requires professional communication, the ability to work independently as well as a team, and is self-motivated. The patient care coordinator is responsible for the following:Answering phone callsTransferring phone calls as neededConfirming patient appointmentsReceiving and sending faxesReceiving and sending emailsSending messages to providers and additional staffSitting for long periods of timeScanning documentsProcessing DME requestingObtaining new patient informationChecking voice mails and responding to themAdditional responsibilities may arise after proper training and as needed for the workplace.\nCompany DescriptionVPS of USA provides in-home and facility-based medical care to patients across Michigan, and performs consultative examinations under contract with the State of Michigan Disability Determination Services (DDS).
