CVICU Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires expertise in managing high-acuity patients with immediate postoperative needs, particularly those undergoing cardiac and vascular surgeries. The ideal candidate will have experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring and be proficient in utilizing medical equipment such as ventilators, arterial lines, spinal drains, and temporary pacemakers.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for high-acuity cardiac and vascular surgery patients in the ICU.
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic status using advanced techniques and equipment.
• Collaborate with the surgical and nursing teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Titrate vasoactive and inotropic drips based on patient needs.
• Perform ECG interpretations and monitor changes in patient condition.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-3 years of staff experience in a CVICU setting.
• Previous travel nursing experience is mandatory.
• Completion of competency tests required within 24 hours of application submission.
• Epic experience is required.

Schedule

This is a night shift position from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week.
