University Human Resources is committed to supporting the university's mission and strategic objectives through effective leadership, guidance, and comprehensive administration in key areas such as classification, recruitment, payroll, benefits, and employee and labor relations. Human Resources Associates offer various services, including communication with campus, procedural guidance, and troubleshooting. This includes analyzing situations, conducting research, exercising sound judgment to reach resolutions, and maintaining confidentiality. Onboarding New Employees: Ensure a smooth and welcoming new hire orientation by preparing all event materials and providing on-site logistical support. Handle the administrative tasks of onboarding, guiding new hires through required paperwork to ensure accuracy and timely completion. Employee Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with university policies and federal regulations related to hiring, position changes, departures, and other personnel actions. Process and manage employee data efficiently and securely within established systems. Relations and Support: Respond to frequently asked questions from employees and departments regarding standard HR policies and federal procedures. Provide accurate and timely information while directing complex inquiries to the appropriate HR personnel. Administrative Experience: Experience working in an administrative support role in a professional office setting. Communication Skills: Skilled in interpreting and explaining complex information or procedures through both written and verbal communication. Software Proficiency: Proficiency in standard office computer systems and software, such as the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Data Entry: Performed high-volume data entry with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. The Successful Candidate Will - Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possesses strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills, enabling successful collaboration with faculty, staff, students, and applicants in person and over the phone. Confidentiality and Discretion: Maintains high professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential situations and information.
