Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Float within Zone 4 covering a 60-mile radius from Garden City, KS center
• No home base facility - must travel between three locations: Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital (Ulysses), St. Catherine-Dodge City, and St. Catherine-Garden City
• Responsible for obtaining housing that accommodates floating throughout the full 60-mile zone
• Must be available for week of orientation in state even if modules completed remotely
• Nurse to patient ratios of 1:4-5 based on acuity
• Treat 6-49 patients per day depending on location
• Handle common diagnoses including abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension
• Perform point of care lab testing and must be able to read and interpret telemetry
• Work with standard ER medications and equipment
• Charge nurse takes assignment and techs support unit secretary work and triage
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), ENPC or PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Navy blue scrub color requirement
• 2-3 days unit orientation
• EPIC charting system
• BSN not required
