Network Architect

Position Overview

This role is for an experienced Enterprise Network Architect responsible for designing and implementing advanced network solutions across a hybrid enterprise infrastructure. The position requires deep expertise in software‑defined networking, hybrid connectivity, network segmentation, and secure, resilient architecture design. The architect will ensure scalable, high‑performing, and secure network operations that align with the organization’s long‑term business and technology goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy software‑defined networking (SDN) solutions to improve automation, agility, and centralized management.
• Develop seamless integration between on‑premises and cloud environments through technologies such as VPN, MPLS, Direct Connect, and ExpressRoute.
• Architect segmented network topologies using VLANs, VRFs, and firewalls to enhance traffic control and security posture.
• Define and implement security zones to protect sensitive workloads and enforce access policies.
• Ensure network resilience and high availability across data center and cloud environments through redundancy and fault‑tolerant designs.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure network architecture supports enterprise goals.
• Conduct periodic reviews of network performance and security, recommending improvements where necessary.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers while promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of enterprise networking experience, including at least 3 years in an architectural capacity.
• Proficiency in SDN technologies such as OpenFlow, Cisco ACI, and VMware NSX.
• Strong understanding of hybrid connectivity using VPN, MPLS, and cloud interconnect services.
• Experience in network segmentation, security zoning, and traffic isolation.
• Familiarity with modern data center and cloud networking technologies.
• Eligibility for relevant national security clearance is preferred.
