Personal Care Attendant (PCA) / Caregiver

Job Description

Personal Care Nevada is looking for compassionate and caring, good communicators, flexible, reliable and responsible Personal Care Attendants that are focused on the client. Caregiving experience is preferred, but not required. Training will be given as part of the hiring process.

Tasks and Responsibilities

personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs
Complete Activities of daily living (ADLs) in a safe and professional manner
Provide compassionate care, personal companionship and ongoing social & emotional support
Assist with personal care activities that include but not limited to personal hygiene, mobility assistance, incontinence care, light housekeeping, feeding and meal preparation
Keep orderly and safe environment
Provide transportation to and from appointments as needed
Check-in and check-out.
Enter caregiver notes for shifts on completion of tasks and report changes in the client's physical condition, mental capability or behavior

Minimum Requirements

18 years of age or above
Must own a car for transportation to and from work
Ability to use sound judgement and remain calm in a variety of situations
Must be reliable, dependable and on time
Basic computer skills
Must speak English well
Caregiving experience is preferred, but not required.
As part of the hiring process training will be given and you will be required to attain the following:
- TB Test OR Chest X-Ray
- Physical exam
- Valid CPR/ First Aid Certification
- Personal Care Attendant Certificate (will be provided for free after in-service)
- Fingerprint Clearance/ Background Check
