If you're as passionate about your future as we are, join our team.KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Content Development, Detection Engineering & Automation to join our Enterprise Security Services organization.Responsibilities:Direct the end-to-end engineering lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment, and tuning) for security detection content, utilizing CI/CD pipelines (Detection-as-Code)Partnering with Threat Intelligence, SOC, and Incident Response teams to map detections and automated workflows to the MITRE ATT&CK frameworkDesign, write, and optimize high-fidelity detection rules, analytic alerts, and threat-hunting queries using Kusto Query Language (KQL) in Microsoft Sentinel/Azure Data Explorer while continuously analyzing alert performance and tuning queriesArchitect and develop automated incident response playbooks and custom integrations within Cortex XSOAR, and design and manage scalable security data pipelines utilizing OpenTelemetry (OTel) to standardize the collection, routing, and processing of logs, metrics, and tracesStreamline Cyber Operations by automating repetitive tasks, threat intelligence enrichment, and other cybersecurity functions to reduce Mean Time to Respond (MTTR)Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environmentQualifications:Minimum eight years of recent experience in security monitoring, operations, and incident response (preferably in professional services)Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required; relevant certifications (for example, CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC, or Certified XSOAR Engineer) are highly preferredDemonstrate Subject-Matter-Expert level of hands-on administration, configuration, and integration of Security Operations tools with IT infrastructure, including proxies, mail servers, Active Directory, workstations, and mobile devicesMaintain deep technical familiarity with SIEM, IDS, EDR, DPI, SOAR, OpenTelemetry (OTel), scripting languages, and API usage to support modern security workflowsServe as the final escalation point to manage and troubleshoot complex detection issues, resolving problems quickly to keep security visibility intactExhibit strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with individuals at all levels of authorityApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa)KPMG LLP and its subsidiaries (“KPMG”) complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
