Pediatric Physical Therapist

We are looking for a pediatric physical or occupational therapist with at least one year experience in pediatrics. You will work with children with childhood onset conditions across their lifespan who are experiencing illnesses, injuries or conditions that limit their ability to move or function in their daily life in the community and home environment. You must be experienced and passionate about working with children and families for improving mobility, restoring function, alleviating pain, preventing or decreasing permanent physical disabilities and promoting overall health and wellness. You will work in collaboration with children, their families, and other therapists to reach goals established by the yourself, the patient and their guardians. You will be responsible to create a Home Exercise Program that the family can attain and incorporate into the daily family home life which furthers the child’s ability to engage and function independently at home, school, and within the broader community while also educating and including family members. You will need to be comfortable to put an emphasis on the quality of movement seeking execution that is mechanically correct as well as building a proper foundation so that when a new skill is achieved it is mechanically correct or be able to adapt the movement to fill the child's needs. You be in families homes and need to understand that parents and families are very much part of the process and help them see the potential to help the child and family. Qualifications Clinical expertise in pediatric physical or occupational therapy, including assessment, treatment planning, and intervention for children with developmental, neurological, or orthopedic conditions. Ability to deliver therapy effectively in a home setting including competence with digital documentation, and communication tools. Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with children, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams. Organizational and time-management skills to manage caseloads, documentation, and follow-up. Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited program. Current state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist; pediatric experience strongly preferred. Commitment to inclusive, family-centered care and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and abilities. CPR certification and familiarity with pediatric therapy practices are beneficial. Let me tell you a little about Josie's Pediatric Therapy Services. We are a small close team treating children and families in Brevard County. Founded in 2017 by Jo Kologlu, a Pediatric Physical Therapist who has practiced in the area since 1997, the practice offers pediatric physical therapy services. The team is dedicated to improving functional abilities, mobility, and participation in daily activities for children with diverse needs. Josie’s Pediatric Therapy Services emphasizes collaborative family involvement, and a supportive and fun environment for both clients and team members. I have an amazing office manager, which I love that does billing and authorizations for all if the therapists. She helps keep us running smoothly. I have several PTAs that work with me. We are a small Intimate team. I am there to supervise, give ideas and coobeeate on treatment plans when needed. My PTAs are experienced and dedicated to the children they treat. We work with the children and families in their homes, day cares, the park, horse back, the pool etc...from 0-18 and up to 22. We also work with local PPECs providing services. I love what I do, I love the freedom of not being stuck in an office, and that I am responsible for my own scheduling and rescheduling families when necessary or possible. I love that the little ones getvto experience the beach and parks, have therapy in the pool or horseback and meet other little ones. You can pick up as many little ones that you want, organize your schedule as you see fit, take your time off as needed and desired (you DO NOT need to ask my permission) but keep me in the loop ahead of time I ask of my therapists that when possible they offer families time to reschedule, that you are professional with families and other therapists, that you show up when you say you are going to show up, that your notes are completed by the end of each week on Clinic Source. That brings me to Clinic Source : it is the secure website we put all of our schedule in for treatment and billing as well as daily notes, loading documentation, and POCs and evals. It is covered under my practice. I am really chill to work for in a sense ... but I ask a lot of myself...I do put a lot of extra hours in for all my therapists and families...I try to stay in contact with all the families my therapists treat and go the extra yard to make sure they get everything they need. That includes being in contact with my therapists. If there is ever an issue with a family, another therapist, or someone let me know and I will address it , keep me in the loop at all times and l will stand behind you.
