Construction Manager - Turnkey Chiller Plant Installation

Central Texas Full-time Job Description The Construction Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of construction activities for the turnkey installation of two fully operational 21,000-ton chiller plants. This role oversees field construction from mobilization through commissioning support, ensuring all work meets contract requirements, project schedules, applicable codes, safety standards, and performance objectives. Duties & Responsibilities Plan, manage, and oversee all on-site construction activities for mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, controls, and piping systems Execute the project in accordance with turnkey contract documents, approved drawings, specifications, and construction schedules Support development and maintenance of the detailed construction schedule in coordination with the Project Manager Enforce project-specific Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) plans and ensure OSHA compliance Ensure all construction work meets project quality standards, manufacturer requirements, and applicable codes (IBC, NEC, ASME, ASHRAE) Manage subcontractors and field crews, including daily coordination, performance monitoring, and issue resolution Support pre-functional testing, system startup, and commissioning activities Serve as the primary construction point of contact with Owner's representatives, inspectors, and AHJs Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum 10–15 years of construction management experience, including large-scale mechanical or industrial facilities Demonstrated experience delivering central utility plants, chiller plants, or large HVAC infrastructure projects Strong knowledge of large-tonnage chiller systems, cooling towers, pumps, piping, and thermal systems Proven experience managing turnkey or EPC projects Strong understanding of construction safety standards and regulatory compliance OSHA 30 certification (or equivalent) preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Jpgovsolutions
