An opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to support a 200-bed community hospital in Southwest Virginia. This contract assignment offers an immediate start and a duration of 13 weeks with the potential for extension. The role focuses on ensuring seamless pharmacy operations within a hospital setting, emphasizing collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Verify and process medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians
• Consult with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers regarding medication therapies
• Utilize hospital information systems, including EPIC and Pyxis, to manage patient records and medication dispensing

Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist license in Virginia is required
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and medication management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Schedule/Hours:

• Day shift schedule featuring a combination of 8- and 10-hour shifts
