Picture a day where your mobile service truck is your workshop and Central Texas is your route. You start with a safety check, confirm your parts inventory, and roll out to customers who count on you to keep their trailers road-ready. From electrical diagnostics to pneumatic and hydraulic fixes, you own the repair from first look to final test.

What your day looks like

• Drive and operate a fully equipped mobile repair vehicle to service semi-trailers and related equipment on-site.
• Diagnose issues across electrical, air, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems; reference manuals and schematics as needed.
• Complete preventative maintenance inspections and company-required evaluations with accuracy and care.
• Install and replace new or reconditioned components; verify repairs with functional testing.
• Order approved parts, document all work performed, and close out paperwork cleanly and completely.
• Use hand tools, power tools, precision gauges (including calipers), and shop equipment safely and effectively.
• Keep your work area and vehicle organized; clean tools and the shop area as needed, including sweeping and trash removal.
• Work independently in the field and collaborate with teammates when extra hands are required.

What you bring

• Valid driver’s license with a Motor Vehicle Report that meets our Driver Fleet Policy; insurable per company insurance carrier criteria.
• 1–2 years of mechanical experience (ASE certifications a plus, not required).
• Ability to read, understand, and document work in English; solid mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Your own tools and safety gear: safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection.

Physical demands

• Heavy work: lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, 20 lbs constantly.
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, balancing, kneeling, and crawling.
• Manual dexterity for grasping, typing, and tool operation; talk, hear, and see clearly to inspect and operate safely.

Where you’ll work

Primarily in shop and outdoor settings around Pflugerville/Austin. Expect variable temperatures, dust/dirt/fumes, moving mechanical and electrical equipment, chemicals, height/confined-space work, and high noise. Proper PPE and strict adherence to safety protocols are required at all times.

Pay and benefits

Flat Rate: $28 – $32 (depending on experience and location)
