Fair-Rite Products Corp., a global leader in ferrite technology and manufacturing, is seeking a motivated Accounting & Finance Intern to join our team and gain hands‑on exposure to the financial side of a dynamic manufacturing organization. Days and Hours: Hours can be somewhat flexible based on school schedule; +/- 20 hours per week. Benefits for Full Time Employees: Salary Range: $18.90/hr - $20.89/hr dependant on experience Paid Sick Time Employee Assistance Program Responsibilities Assist with accounts payable, including reviewing invoices for proper documentation, matching invoices to purchase orders/receipts, and preparing items for payment.Assist with accounts receivable, including applying customer payments, researching discrepancies, and reviewing aging reports. Perform account reconciliations, including selected general ledger accounts, bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance-sheet accounts. Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing supporting schedules and gathering documentation for journal entries. Review and organize supporting documentation for financial transactions to ensure records are complete and properly maintained. Assist with inventory accounting, including reviewing inventory transactions, cycle-count results, adjustments, and supporting documentation. Gain exposure to manufacturing cost accounting, including material costs, labor, overhead, variances, and product costing. Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial reports, spreadsheets, and management schedules. Perform data analysis in Excel, including reconciliations, comparisons, trend analysis, and identification of unusual transactions or variances. Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or a recent graduate Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to handle confidential information professionally Eagerness to learn and contribute in a collaborative environment Company Website Company Profile Fair-Rite Products Corp. is a family-owned business that was formed in 1952 in Wallkill, New York USA.
