Senior Individual Disability Claims Specialist (Remote)

Responsibilities Be a decision maker and focus on solving complex problems, making timely but thoughtful decisions to resolve client issues. Analyze medical, financial, and other claim documents. Meet with customers in person when opportunities arise. Provide accurate claims decisions in a time‑sensitive and fast-paced environment, while adhering to state and Department of Insurance regulations. Be a leader across business divisions including internal and external partners. Be a resource for colleagues with less experience and contribute to department innovations. Qualifications 5+ years of insurance claim handling experience (Individual Disability Claims). A college or university degree, or high school diploma with extensive relevant work experience. Demonstrated understanding of claim management techniques and critical thinking requiring analysis and/or investigation. Experience providing outstanding customer service. Attention to detail with demonstrated written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize competing priorities with deadlines. Negotiating skills, solution strategies, and ability to apply appropriate resources. Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Location and Compensation This position offers the opportunity to work remotely. The primary office location for this group is Pittsfield, MA. Occasional travel to meet business needs will be required. Salary Range: $80,610.00 - $132,435.00. The salary range is a good faith estimate for the primary location. Salary will be determined based on education, experience, knowledge, and abilities. In addition to salary, this role may be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
