Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg or Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIH certification required
• Handle with Care certification required
• Strong critical thinking and decisive judgment skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute-care environment
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and various shift patterns as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to medical/surgical telemetry patients
• Monitor telemetry patients, assess changes, and respond promptly to clinical needs
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Care for patients recovering from post-op orthopedic procedures, total joints, and related diagnoses
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Support a smooth workflow across the unit while maintaining a patient-centered approach
• Use sound clinical judgment to prioritize care and manage multiple patients effectively
