Staff Platform Security Engineer

Salary: $168,000 - 240,000 per year Requirements:

• We need experience with distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and SRE principles.
• We need demonstrated ability to build, deploy, and support security tools and services in production.
• We value experience with Google Cloud Platform security services and multi-cloud environments, including Azure.
• We prefer familiarity with policy-as-code tools such as Open Policy Agent, Sentinel, or similar.
• We value experience with container security scanning, image signing, and supply chain security.
• We prefer a background in incident response for cloud and container environments.
• We value experience with service mesh technologies and zero-trust networking.
• We welcome contributions to open source security tools or cloud security communities.

• We build and maintain security services, tools, and automation using Python or Go.
• We design and implement security controls for AWS and Kubernetes environments using infrastructure as code.
• We create reusable libraries, frameworks, and platforms that promote secure-by-default patterns.
• We develop automated security monitoring, scanning, and remediation capabilities.
• We build CI/CD security gates and policy-as-code validation tools.
• We partner with engineering teams on architecture decisions and provide security guidance.
• We participate in an on-call rotation to support critical security incidents and infrastructure issues.
