Position Overview

We are looking for a committed and collaborative Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to become a part of our Pulmonary team in an outpatient clinic setting. This position emphasizes delivering exceptional, patient-focused care in collaboration with our Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians, ensuring continuity for patients dealing with various respiratory issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver thorough outpatient care for pulmonary patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of both acute and chronic respiratory ailments.
• Work closely with Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians to oversee shared patient panels.
• Conduct follow-up appointments, manage medications, and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Facilitate care coordination across different specialties, including referrals, testing, and procedures.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding disease processes, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Analyze diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function assessments, imaging studies, and laboratory results.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.

• Focused entirely on outpatient pulmonary care.
• No inpatient duties required.
• Collaborate with a supportive team of Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Board certification (or eligibility) is required.
• Active or eligible for licensure in Iowa.
• Experience in pulmonary, critical care, or internal medicine is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork abilities.

• Full-time position with a weekday schedule.
• No night shifts, weekend work, or on-call duties.
