The Senior Procurement Assistant provides operational and administrative support to the Procurement and Logistics team by executing procurement transactions, supporting reporting and compliance activities, and coordinating with internal stakeholders. This role serves as a reliable escalation point for routine issues, supports SLA and KPI tracking, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives under established guidance. This position is well‑suited for a procurement professional with 2–3 years of experience who is ready to take on increased responsibility and grow into more advanced procurement roles. Key Responsibilities Procurement Operations & Support- Develop a working understanding of procurement and logistics goals, workflows, and team responsibilities.
- Process assigned purchase requisitions and related transactions within defined SLA timelines.
- Maintain accurate purchase order records, including monitoring open POs and escalating discrepancies as needed.
- Assist buyers and procurement team members in the procurement of goods and services.
- Liaise with end users to provide procurement support, including order follow‑up, status updates, and request expediting.
- Serve as an initial point of contact for Level 1 procurement and logistics inquiries from internal stakeholders and team members.
- Provide guidance to team members based on established standard operating procedures.
- Escalate issues appropriately when resolution requires additional authority or review.
- Support asset recovery tracking efforts for corporate, agent, and store locations by updating and maintaining relevant logs and data.
- Assist in preparing scheduled reports, including monthly asset recovery and open PO reports.
- Monitor and support SLA compliance activities by tracking performance data and raising risks or gaps.
- Support department audits, compliance reviews, and routine procurement reporting requirements.
- Ensure all activities adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Assist in tracking and updating procurement KPIs and performance metrics.
- Support procurement‑related projects and improvement initiatives, following established best practices and guidance.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and communicate recommendations to the team.
- Provide general operational and administrative support to the procurement and logistics team as needed.
- 2–3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, operations, or related administrative/support roles
- Working knowledge of basic procurement and purchase‑to‑pay processes
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel proficiency preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline‑driven environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer‑service mindset with strong stakeholder support skills
- Bilingual: English and Spanish (required)
- Experience in a shared‑services or nearshore support environment
- Exposure to procurement reporting, SLA tracking, or KPI dashboards
- Experience supporting audits or compliance documentation
- Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics)
